We’re feeling good this Friday, and not just because it’s the weekend and the glorious sun is shining! (That would be enough, though!)
Our weekly #feelgoodfriday post is meant to be about other great social enterprises, but this week it’s all about Ginerosity.
First is the great news that we’re about to take part in Lidl’s inaugural Scottish Gin Festival, with lovely gins from Makar, Strathearn, Shetland Reel, Hazell and Hazell, and Kirkjuvagr Orkney gin also included in the supermarket’s festival. And it was super to see the story in papers such as The National, Daily Record Insider and The Scotsman. The gin festival kicks off first week in May.
Deals like this are a brilliant boost to our social cause, enabling us to grow and support young adults into education, training and employment. It really is a great reason to buy our beautiful and ethical gin, as if you needed an excuse!
It was also super to see the launch of The Gin Cooperative, a labour of love from Natalie and Martin Reid. It’s a top-notch emporium of gin and juniper knowledge, with hundreds of gins listed, gin events, gin bars and so on. And of course our own gin is there too.
And finally, another great innovation that we’re a part of!
This Sunday sees the first Ethical Cocktail Night at Harry’s Southside in Edinburgh. This is possibly the first ethical cocktail night ANYWHERE and we’ve collaborated with Airbnb to host as part of the website’s social impact experience programme, which works to promote events that give back to their community, such as Ginerosity.
Spaces are strictly limited, but there were a couple of spaces left at the time of writing. You can book here.
Have a great weekend in the sun folks! Perfect weather for a Ginerosity and tonic.
